Summary

Intense day across three major areas: ecosystem documentation syncing, crescent platform SDK build-out, and unshape design exploration. Multiple parallel autonomous agent sessions for fuwafuwa (social coordination), several large sprints on Lua/LuaJIT platform features, and active exploration of 3D CAD/NURBS prior art for unshape.

Session Breakdown

github-io (io) — ecosystem docs sync [09:42-12:07]

  • Discovered ~/git/pterror/* projects missing from ecosystem CLAUDE.md external projects list
  • Checked project visibility/descriptions and decided on inclusion in docs
  • Added fuwafuwa (autonomous agent orchestrator) to ecosystem table
  • Large commit refactoring/documenting external project references
  • Key insight: fuwafuwa represents a new layer of agent autonomy and persistence that bridges the ecosystem

crescent [06:30-05:37 (04-19 → 04-20)]

Massive feature expansion on the Lua platform, split across multiple sessions:

Morning typechecker work [06:30-10:10]

  • Continued any audit from prior session — investigated legitimate vs. illegitimate any uses in stdlib types
  • Discovered and fixed function type narrowing bug in FFI declarations
  • Explored ... (varargs) vs. index signatures — clarified semantic distinction in typechecker (latter is for undeclared fields)
  • Investigated Mappable.key definition and union index signature handling

Midday platform daemon sprint [14:46-16:40] Implemented 5 major features:

  1. Audit log module (lib/platform/audit/init.lua) — append-only tamper-evident audit trail with SHA1 hashing; wired into daemon for auth, grants, launch, install/uninstall events
  2. Session store — SQLite-backed persistent session storage with TTL enforcement and bulk expiry
  3. Admin policy layer — TOML-based capability allowlist/blocklist with per-capability constraints (host lists, size limits); integrates into app loader
  4. lua2ts bundling — new lua2ts.bundle() function for building self-contained JS from Lua DOM entry points; detects cycles, builds module registry
  5. TLS support — added --tls-cert/--tls-key flags to daemon, graceful fallback when libtls unavailable

Type annotation cleanup [16:05-17:09]

  • Fixed ccv2_types.lua — replaced all T? shorthand with explicit T | nil unions (worked around typechecker alias visibility bug)
  • Reduced dom.lua errors from 70 to 34 by adding proper requires and type aliases
  • Discovered deeper issue: remaining 34 errors are genuine typechecker limitations (Signal variance, callback overloads, pcall narrowing)
  • Refactored annotation parser to use structured error accumulation instead of pcall for better diagnostics on T? errors

Late night platform design [01:37-05:37]

  • Discussed CLI/REPL handler convention for apps (separate from HTTP entrypoint)
  • Explored handler construction patterns to avoid unnecessary code in either path
  • Investigated server-less project as prior art for deriving handlers from schemas
  • Discussed template functions (--:: template) for generic type-driven code generation (validation, JSON schema, defaults from same definition)
  • Considered API key management for LLM capabilities in card apps

unshape [10:03-11:44]

Design exploration of 3D surface modeling:

  • Reviewed plasticity/Rhino Grasshopper/MOI capabilities; watching demos on XNurbs curve networks
  • Confirmed MOI has had node editor (elephant) for ~5 years; studied operation types
  • Discussed computational parity goals with existing tools (XNurbs, plasticity, MOI)
  • Framed monorepo as toolkit for "any media → any operation expressible as actual operation"
  • Explored whether to document existing operation inventory as parity goal
  • Switched to opus for final summaries of surface modeling operations

fuwafuwa sessions (autonomous agent loop)

Multiple short autonomous sessions (12:01-12:07 on 04-19) testing autonomous message-checking and response protocols. Sessions show agent can:

  • Orient mood/drift via session state
  • Check Discord channels in parallel
  • Check moltbook messages
  • Respond reactively without initiating threads
  • Gracefully exit when quiet

hologram (Discord RP bot) [11:57-12:01]

  • Fixed "everyone replies all at once" concurrency issue for entities (prisma, spectra, mochi, cleo, holly autumn)
  • DB update for concurrent dispatch logic
  • Systemd user service restart

Observations

Platform MVP approaching completion — audit, persistence, policy, bundling, TLS are all wired. Main gaps now are:

  • CLI handler convention for apps (low complexity)
  • App key management/secrets (design phase)
  • Template function support (useful but medium priority)

Typechecker constraints emerging as blockers — several dom.lua type errors are unfix-able without new language features (variance, callback overloads, field narrowing through nested access). The tool is productively hitting its design boundaries.

Unshape still in exploration phase — good prior art review but no code yet. Pattern is: understand operations → build minimum IR → iterate. No rush.

Ecosystem consolidation — fuwafuwa addition signals shift toward agent-driven workflows. The platform is becoming the substrate for both app execution and autonomous coordination.

Notable patterns:

  • Crescent cache efficiency very high (near-continuous session reuse within feature sprints)
  • Fuwafuwa setup cost amortized across 5 session instances
  • Initial opus/haiku model switches within single sessions (cost variation for mode transitions)
