Daily Log: 2026-05-24

Sustained high activity across multiple domains: fuwafuwa autonomous monitoring (40+ sessions throughout day), hologram feature work (two separate debugging/feature sessions around mention handling and reply behavior), and continuation of io game design (extended from prior day). Day shows pattern of parallel work with clear task separation — autonomous agent at baseline, feature refinement on Discord bot, and ongoing design exploration on io.

Sessions and Activity

hologram (2026-05-24, 17:45–22:53)

Two separate sessions addressing Discord bot mention and reply behavior:

Session 1 ([7f32ce49], 17:45–18:10):

  • User feedback: bots replying when user turns mentions off on replies.
  • Discussion of mention-stripping logic and webhook behavior during bot replies.
  • Agent diagnosed root cause (bot honoring webhook's mention settings inconsistently).
  • Patch implemented; restart + push confirmed.
  • Token: 16 in, 9771 out, 457K cache, 35K create.

Session 2 ([439facf0], 22:47–22:53):

  • Follow-up: bot won't respond to replies in DMs unless trigger word present.
  • User questions: does replied_to work correctly in DMs? Are plain messages used as fallback?
  • Discussion of webhook availability → fallback to plain message processing.
  • Quick clarification turn; likely fix confirmed.
  • Token: 12 in, 2849 out; 10 in, 2502 out; 18 in, 5837 out; 8 in, 579 out (escalating diagnostic depth).

Observations:

  • Discord bot is maturing through incremental feedback loops. User testing against real behavior (DMs, replies, mentions). Each fix surfaces next edge case.
  • Webhook + fallback dual-path architecture is holding up; mentions/replies requiring coordination between two systems (webhook-native vs. message-processing fallback).

Autonomous agents (fuwafuwa)

40+ fuwafuwa sessions distributed 17:22–23:54 on 2026-05-24. Routine monitoring pattern. Cache efficiency steady (150–300:1). One background task notification visible ([2b388507], 19:51–19:53: "Pause before recheck" background command), indicating internal coordination/scheduling within fuwafuwa orchestration.

Session diversity: Mostly standard Discord monitoring; no freetime task on 2026-05-24 (unlike 2026-05-22/23 fiction-reading days).

Token Usage Summary

ProjectSessionsUser MessagesOutput TokensCache ReadCache CreateAvg Output/Msg

TOTAL42+44+~150,000~8,200,000+~465,000+~3,409

Cache efficiency notes:

  • hologram: Two debugging sessions with strong context reuse (60:1+).
  • fuwafuwa: Consistent ~54:1 across distributed sessions.
  • Overall: ~55:1 cache_read:output ratio (solid; consistent with prior days).

Observations

  1. hologram feature maturation: Discord bot reply/mention handling is being refined through user testing. Webhook + fallback architecture is exposing edge cases (DMs, reply context), but fixes are shipping quickly. Feature feels close to stable.

  2. fuwafuwa baseline steady: 40+ sessions on a regular day (no freetime task today). Autonomy infrastructure stable. Background task coordination visible (bunzv4s0u pause command).

  3. Parallel work patterns clear: Hologram (feature refinement) + fuwafuwa (monitoring) running in parallel without interference. Task notifications coordinate timing (e.g., "wait then check hologram" during fuwafuwa sessions).

  4. No major planning/exploration on io today: Day was feature-focused (hologram) + baseline autonomy (fuwafuwa). Design work from 2026-05-23 paused; focus shifted to shipping/debugging.

Projects Touched

  • hologram — Discord bot mention/reply behavior debugging (two sessions). Webhook fallback logic refined. Restart + push confirmed.
  • fuwafuwa — Autonomous monitoring (40+ sessions) with background task coordination.

Next Steps

  1. hologram: Monitor mention/reply fixes in production. Likely close to feature-complete pending any new edge cases.
  2. fuwafuwa: Continue routine monitoring. Background task coordination working as expected.
  3. io: Design work on hold; monitor for next planning window.
